A new wave of gaming enhancements has arrived at Live! Casino Pittsburgh.
The Westmoreland County property has invested $1.7 million in upgrades that include:
- New slot machines
- Redesigned high-limit gaming area
- Dedicated slot tournament zone
The improvements, announced last month, represent the latest phase of an ongoing capital investment strategy that has surpassed $13 million since the casino opened in 2020.
New slots drive gaming floor’s $1.5 million refresh
The largest portion of the investment — approximately $1.5 million — was allocated to new slot machines and machine conversions throughout the gaming floor.
The move reflects the property’s continued effort to refresh its offerings and appeal to a broader range of players. The 100,000-square-foot facility operates 24 hours a day and features approximately 750 slot machines.
The Pennsylvania casino also redesigned its high-limit gaming area, creating direct access from the main gaming floor. The updated space includes seven new games and several incentives geared toward high-stakes players.
Guests who wager at least $50 on qualifying games can receive complimentary beverages. Free appetizers are available on Mondays and Thursdays, while double rewards points are offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Sean Sullivan, general manager of Live! Casino Pittsburgh said the upgrades reflect the property’s commitment to continuous improvement.
According to Sullivan, the casino aims to bring fresh energy and greater variety to the gaming floor while expanding entertainment and relaxation options for guests.
Casino expands tournament gaming experience
One of the most notable additions is a dedicated slot tournament zone located near the high-limit gaming area.
Powered by upgraded IGT technology, the space is designed to support a larger schedule of competitive slot tournaments. Wheel of Fortune, one of the industry’s most recognizable slot brands, will be among the featured tournament games.
By centralizing tournament activity, the casino hopes to make events easier to find and more accessible for players interested in competitive gaming.
Mercedes-Benz giveaway promotion launches
Alongside the physical upgrades, the casino has introduced a promotion that gives players the opportunity to win a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
Two designated slot machine banks are connected to the giveaway, with entry requirements starting as low as 25 cents on some machines and $1 on others.
The promotion runs through the end of October and is sponsored by Smail Auto Group.
New Spooky Link Zone features progressive jackpots
Players can also visit a new gaming area called Spooky Link, which features 64 Aristocrat slot machines.
The themed zone offers access to progressive jackpots and provides additional space for players seeking larger potential payouts.
As one of the gaming industry’s most established slot manufacturers, Aristocrat brings strong brand recognition to the casino floor. To celebrate the launch, Live! Casino Pittsburgh hosted a charity slot tournament for members of the media and matched participants’ winnings with a $1,000 donation to the National Medal of Honor Museum.
Pennsylvania casino surpasses $13M in improvements
Live! Casino Pittsburgh opened in November 2020 in the former Bon-Ton department store space at Westmoreland Mall. Since then, the property has steadily expanded its amenities and entertainment offerings.
Previous projects include the addition of a poker room, a high-limit table games lounge and The Venue Live! event space. The FanDuel FanCave sportsbook lounge was also introduced as part of earlier expansion efforts.
Cordish Companies owns the property through Stadium Casino Westmoreland. The company initially invested more than $150 million to develop the casino.
While the latest $1.7 million project is smaller in scale than the original development, it reflects the same long-term reinvestment strategy.
As first reported by PlayPennsylvania, capital improvements at the property have now exceeded $13 million. If the pace of investment continues, additional upgrades may not be far behind.
