Resorts World New York City is courting high rollers with a new private gaming room in Queens. The International Room offers high-limit table games and personalized service in a more exclusive setting.

Unveiled Oct. 22, the room opens as Resorts World advances its $5.5 billion integrated resort project, the company said in a news release. It follows the casino’s April launch of live table games and coincides with its 15th anniversary.

International room brings 48 tables to Queens

The International Room covers about 13,657 square feet and has 48 gaming tables, including high-limit baccarat, blackjack and roulette. Three private salons can be reserved for added privacy and tailored service, including entertainment such as karaoke.

Dedicated hosts attend to guests, who also get premium beverage service and 24-hour access to hot and cold dining without leaving the gaming area.

Resorts World describes the room as New York City’s first exclusive high-roller gaming destination. The release does not specify betting minimums for the high-limit tables.

The room targets players seeking more privacy and attentive hospitality than a typical casino floor offers. “Until today, players who wanted this level of service had to leave the city to find it,” said Meghan Taylor, senior vice president of government affairs and public relations.

Taylor said the room lets Resorts World match the hospitality of established luxury casino destinations and supports the company’s goal of encouraging longer visits and repeat customers.

Casino expands gaming floor with more tables and slots

The room is part of a larger upgrade to the casino’s first floor, which adds 57 table games and 147 slot machines. That brings the property’s total to nearly 300 live table games and more than 4,000 slot machines.

The growth follows Resorts World’s conversion from a casino built around electronic gaming machines, its main offering since opening in 2011, into a full commercial casino. The company secured its full casino license in December 2025, along with two other projects approved for New York City.

It introduced live table games April 28, becoming the city’s first full commercial casino. The launch brought more than 200 live tables, including blackjack, roulette, baccarat and craps, that had not been available at the venue.

$5.5 billion resort development continues

The International Room opened three months after Resorts World broke ground July 22 on the second phase of its expansion, which will turn the casino into a larger entertainment and hospitality complex.

The plans call for about 2,000 hotel rooms in total, including the existing 400-room Hyatt Regency JFK Airport at Resorts World New York City. They also include a 7,000-seat arena, dozens of restaurants and bars, and 11 acres of green space.

The company expects the project to support about 10,000 jobs, including about 5,000 union construction positions.

Robert DeSalvio, president of development at Genting Americas East, said the company prioritized finishing the International Room quickly and expects more openings and celebrations as work progresses.

Nas joins opening as Resorts World celebrates 15 years

Nas, a Queens native, attended the unveiling. The rapper previously backed the casino’s bid for a full commercial gaming license and attended the April opening of live table games, tying the expansion to the property’s long presence in southeast Queens.

The company said in its release that the property draws about 5 million visitors a year and has generated more than $5 billion in support of New York’s public education system since opening.

For now, the International Room gives Resorts World a dedicated premium offering as New York City’s commercial casino market takes shape.
