The NFL is opening its first store in Las Vegas on Jan. 15. The store will officially be called “NFL Las Vegas presented by Visa.” For the sake of brevity, we’ll call the store NFL Las Vegas. The new store will open at the Forum Shops inside Caesars Palace.
However, the partnership with Caesars isn’t much of a surprise. Caesars Entertainment was named the first official casino sponsor of the NFL in 2019.
NFL Las Vegas will offer a variety of exclusive fan merchandise for all 32 teams and the league itself. The store will also host NFL events and sell collaborations with celebrities and local designers.
In addition, this store will also become a destination for NFL fan experiences. The league plans to have exclusive product launch events and NFL player and talent appearances.
NFL Las Vegas will set itself apart from other retail outlets by offering an array of unique items and experiences.
This particular store is a major deal for the NFL and Las Vegas
The new NFL store is another step forward for the league in Las Vegas. Ryan Samuelson, VP of consumer products at the NFL, says:
“Home to the Raiders and the state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas continues to be a premier location for the League to expand our presence and grow our fanbase.”
Furthermore, he continued by saying,
“NFL Las Vegas presented by Visa will add to the vibrancy of the city while providing fans with a modern retail experience in collaboration with Legends and Visa against the backdrop of the upcoming Pro Bowl, the 2022 NFL Draft, and the recently announced Super Bowl LVIII in Vegas.”
NFL Las Vegas is a partnership with Legends. Dan Smith, president, Legends Hospitality, had the following to say about the new NFL store opening in Las Vegas:
“We have designed a store with the fan in mind, offering exclusive products and customization options as well as special in-store events that will provide something for fans of all ages.”
Before the Raiders’ first game in Las Vegas in 2020, the NFL shunned Sin City for most promotional ventures. Now the league can’t get enough of Las Vegas, and football fans should be able to find new and innovative ways to connect with the NFL.
The NFL in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Raiders are the straw that stirs the proverbial drink for the NFL in Las Vegas. After the NFL announced, the Raiders would move from Oakland to Las Vegas. The league started planning multiple events.
First, the league announced Las Vegas would host the NFL Draft in 2020. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic moved the NFL Draft online. The league moved the Las Vegas draft to take place later this year.
Before the NFL Draft later this year, Las Vegas will host the Pro Bowl for the first time. There are various events planned for the week leading into the game that will take place on Feb. 6 at noon.
NFL Las Vegas will be open in time for visitors to stop by Caesars Palace to pick up some exclusive gear.
The NFL hasn’t announced plans for the NFL Draft that will take place later this year. Las Vegas is still two years away from hosting the biggest NFL game of all. Super Bowl LVIII will occur at Allegiant Stadium on Feb. 11, 2024.
