A new game has just hit the US iGaming market, and it is coming under the umbrella of a gaming provider in more than 100 jurisdictions, IGT PlayDigital (NYSE: IGT).
In a press release, IGT PlayDigital President Gil Rotem expressed his confidence that the game will be well-received in the US, noting its prior success in other regions. He also emphasized that this launch is key to the company’s global content strategy:

IGT’s iGaming sector sees revenue growth
IGT’s PlayDigital has made a huge impact in the US market. In April, IGT released its online slots in Rhode Island through Bally’s Casino. This move is likely just the beginning, as more games are expected to be introduced.
Hence, the first quarter 2024 results revealed that the strong performance of IGT’s games in the US positively influenced iGaming revenue. This indicates a promising outlook for the company’s continued expansion.
Q1 2024 Revenue for IGT’s gaming and digital sector fell by almost 7% to $406 million. This decline was due to higher software license and intellectual property licensing expenses than the previous year, and lower product revenues from fewer shipments of terminal units.
Still, a 10% increase in iGaming revenue and higher service revenue, fueled by worldwide installed base expansion, somewhat offset the revenue decline.
IGT’s CEO, Vince Sadusky, also referenced the success of the “Wheel of Fortune” Triple Extreme Spin with BetMGM and Fort Knox Cats at the FanDuel Casino as huge contributors to this growth. Its Mystery of the Lamp game was the “Top Performing New Premium Game” at the 2024 EKG Slot Awards Show.
