The new World Series of Poker (WSOP) room and Caesars Sportsbook are officially open at the Grand Victoria Casino Elgin.
Altogether, the new additions to the Illinois casino add 6,500 square feet of gaming space at the cost of $4 million. The new state-of-the-art sportsbook and poker room will occupy the same area.
Rolando Guerrero, Grand Victoria Casino Elgin’s senior vice president and general manager, said:
“We are proud to officially open this luxurious space for sports and poker fans who visit our property. We wanted to create a comfortable space where guests may enjoy sporting events and live poker in a well-appointed environment complete with world-class amenities.”
Chris Moneymaker — a WSOP Main Event Champion — was on hand for the ceremonial ribbon cutting.

A new Caesars Sportsbook at Grand Victoria Casino in Illinois
The new Caesars Sportsbook features a 2,100 square-foot gaming space including:
- Three betting windows
- Five self-service betting kiosks
- 20 large-screen LED TVs
There is also a full-service bar with bartop gaming and a lounge area where customers can enjoy a meal from The Slice Pizzeria & Pasta or Crave Deli.

The new World Series of Poker room will host the first Illinois circuit
As for the poker side, the 4,400 square foot poker room boasts 20 poker tables.
The Grand Victoria is also set to host Illinois’ first WSOP Circuit Event on Nov. 10-21. According to the event schedule, players have until 7 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, to register. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10.
The event comes with $1 million in guaranteed prize money. Additionally, the WSOP ring event winner can also win seats in the 2023 Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas.
