WWE, best known for its high-octane wrestling events, is expanding its digital footprint with the March 12, 2026, launch of WrestleMania: Road to Gold. The new branded online slot game was developed in partnership with White Hat Studios and is available exclusively on Fanatics Casino.
The launch coincides with the buildup to WrestleMania 42, scheduled for April 18–19 in Las Vegas. During this period, fan engagement traditionally reaches its annual peak.
New WWE slot arrives for WrestleMania season
At the heart of the game is a central mechanic called the Unlock Trail, which guides players through stages tied to WWE’s “Big Five” events:
- SummerSlam
- Survivor Series
- Royal Rumble
- Elimination Chamber
- Money in the Bank
Each stage introduces progressive bonus features with increasing rewards, culminating in a final WrestleMania-themed level. The game features 20 WWE superstars, including Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley, both of whom carry significant momentum into the current season.
To enhance authenticity, veteran commentator Michael Cole provides play-by-play narration. A fixture of WWE programming since 1997, Cole’s inclusion provides a broadcast-style layer that casual fans will immediately recognize.
White Hat Studios and WWE partnership details
White Hat Studios, a US-focused developer with a catalog of more than 150 titles, led the project. The studio is known for adapting major real-money online casino IPs, including The Goonies, Peaky Blinders, and Beavis and Butt-Head.
“WWE is an iconic brand in entertainment history, and our goal was to channel that legacy into WrestleMania: Road to Gold,” said Armen Tatarevic, White Hat Studios VP of gaming. “This is a major IP launch for us as we continue to deliver a ‘main event’ experience to casino players in the United States.”
The partnership between White Hat and Fanatics dates to 2024, when the developer’s catalog first debuted on the Fanatics platform in Pennsylvania and Michigan. This new title reflects a broader effort to anchor Fanatics Casino’s identity around premier sports and entertainment brands.
Fanatics Casino expansion and betting strategy
Launched in 2021 as the gaming arm of Fanatics Holdings Inc., Fanatics Casino has rapidly expanded from its roots in sports merchandise. The platform currently operates in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia via iOS, Android, and web.
In a news release, Conor Grant, president of casino at Fanatics Betting and Gaming, said the WWE-branded experience reflects the company’s strategy to offer a “premium, differentiated experience.”
The decision to license WWE content follows a massive 2025 for the wrestling giant, which brought in more than $1.7 billion in revenue. WWE currently distributes programming to over 1 billion households through partners including Netflix, ESPN, NBCUniversal, and USA Network.
A growing WWE online casino game collection
WrestleMania: Road to Gold joins an existing stable of WWE-licensed online casino games on Fanatics Casino, including:
- WWE Blackjack
- Raw Multiplier Melee
- SmackDown Big Money Entrance!
- WWE Bonus Rumble Gold Blitz
- WWE Clash of the Wilds
The launch demonstrates how sports entertainment leaders are extending fan engagement beyond the ring. For Fanatics, it reinforces the value of iconic rights; for White Hat Studios, it represents its most ambitious branded title to date.
