PalaPoker is an online poker website connected to the Pala Casino. It’s one of the newer poker sites in the state, and it’s trying to grow into one of the top options in New Jersey.
PalaPoker doesn’t offer too many different gaming types; however, it’s expected to expand moving forward.
Something great about the online poker site is the new player bonus. When signing up, customers receive $25 free without making a deposit. PalaPoker also provides new users with a match deposit bonus worth up to $500.
When you sign up a new online poker account with Pala using our promo code OVBONUS, you will be qualified to get a $25 no deposit bonus.
If you then go on to make a deposit, you will find your first deposit matched 100% up to $500.
Yes. To take advantage of the $25 free bonus, you will have to enter the promo code OVBONUS at signup.

New players are greeted with a generous $25 sign-up bonus. No deposit is required, however, you do need to use the promo code OVBONUS to claim the offer.
Here’s how the $25 welcome package breaks down:
Players get $10 in poker tournament bonuses. Players also get $15 in casino cash, which can be used to play at Pala Casino.
Players also get $20 in casino bonuses.
The welcome package is only valid for new players who have not previously registered an account.
Players making their first deposit at PalaPoker earn a 100 percent match deposit bonus up to $500. This is in addition to the free money offered in the welcome package.
Earning the bonus takes three simple steps:
Registering and creating an account is pretty straightforward. Signing up involves the standard registration process:
PalaPoker offers a program called PALA Privileges that runs hand-in-hand with their casino. Membership is automatic, with no enrollment needed.
Players automatically earn points from playing in real money games or tournaments with fees. Your points earned from these real money games are called Status Points (SP).
As you earn SP, you also earn Reward Points. Reward Points can be redeemed in the points store. The amount of RP you have earned will be displayed in the points store.
The higher your level, the more RP you earn for each SP you earn. If you are Level 4, Platinum Privileges, and earn 5,000, SP you get 40,000 RP. That’s eight RP for each SP earned.
As you wager in casino games, you earn RP. You earn RP for every real money dollar wagered or bingo ticket purchased. The amount you earn depends on the casino or bingo game played. Different games generate different amounts of RP.
SP earned during each calendar month determine your loyalty level.
Bonuses will be granted automatically as you advance to the next level. The more levels you advance, the bigger the bonuses.
Bonuses carry a 1x play-through. They also expire within 30 days of issuance.
PalaPoker presents multiple options for playing. For the full experience, the site recommends downloading the app or client. Players also have the chance to play only within web browsers. However, the software appears to be slower on Mac products than PCs.
Players can also play by downloading a mobile app for both Android and iOS.
Games offered at PalaPoker include:
There are dedicated lobby tabs for no-limit and fixed-limit Texas hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and seven-card stud. However, the fixed-limit tab currently doesn’t offer any games. Nor does the seven-card stud tab.
There are only four available cash games. No-limit hold’em is offered at:
PLO is only offered at $.10/$.25.
Tabs are available for both full ring and six-max, but all games appear to be six-max.
Sit-n-gos also run very infrequently. Tabs are listed for regular, running, and completed. Further filters allow players to select six-max or full-ring SNGs.
A speed option lets players select regular or turbo speeds.
There is also a buy-in option which lets players select low or medium stakes.
However, even with these tabs, the total SNGs offered appear to be $5, $10, or $20 six-max no-limit hold’em SNGs. There are also $5 six-max PLO SNGs available.
These appear to run very infrequently, if at all.
Pala Poker currently offers only a small sample of tournaments. Only seven tournaments are scheduled daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. All tournaments are no-limit Texas hold ‘em, with the exception of a $5 rebuy pot-limit Omaha, which runs every day at 9 p.m.
As a new site, PalaPoker does not have any large Sunday guarantees yet.
The other six daily tournaments start every hour, with the first one being a $5 rebuy at 4 p.m.
Buy-ins range from $5 to $20. Guarantees range from just $100 to $500.
Other tabs on the main page include ones for Events, Play Money Poker, and Fast Pala Poker. However, those tabs are all currently grayed out. They should be available soon.
PalaPoker players have a wide variety of deposit methods from which to choose. They include:
PalaPoker abides by a fairly stringent verification policy, as do all of the licensed New Jersey poker sites. With that in mind, players should be prepared to provide proof of their account before making a withdrawal.
Often this entails uploading a bank statement, a copy of your driver’s license, or a utility bill.
Most withdrawal methods can only be used if the player used the same method to first make a deposit. Checks by mail typically take longer to hit accounts than other methods — one week or more. PayPal and Neteller withdrawals come through much faster.
PalaPoker offers three methods of customer support:
In New Jersey’s short history, PokerStars, WSOP, and Party Poker have all been running much closer than many would have thought. PokerStars has not outrun its NJ online poker competitors as many suspected they would. Pala Poker is looking to get in on the action too.
Pala Poker has a variety of MTTs, SNGs, and cash games. However, traffic is really limited to peak nighttime hours.
During this beta stage, the poker room appears to only be open from 3 p.m. until 1 a.m. ET.
While PalaPoker does offer the three most popular formats, a little more variety would really improve the site. Not just adding in games like Razz either. Just different forms besides six-max. Heads-up is a player favorite, as are a variety of tournament types.
With tournament guarantees typically falling well under the $1,000 mark, players will not feel very incentivized to play these MTTs.
The rewards system seems relatively par for the course as far as New Jersey player rewards systems go. Nonetheless, players always love to feel like their getting something back. Since the amount of players on PalaPoker is so small, any rakeback won through their rewards program will be almost negligible.
Currently, not much.
The promotions and bonuses are the chief attraction to PalaPoker. Many sites do not offer free money without at least some form of depositing first. This should attract a lot of new players.
The first deposit matching bonus is an industry-standard, yet always appreciated. Plus, a free chance for a million dollars every day will certainly bring in customers, even if the chances of hitting that bonus are infinitesimal.
Not at this time.
The $25 no deposit bonus is certainly good for new players looking for no risk. But, without a strong player pool, new players may quickly look elsewhere.
No. All players must be in New Jersey.
