Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. named Polymarket the official and exclusive prediction markets partner of the New York Rangers on Jan. 8, 2026. The landmark deal integrates real-time forecasting into the fan experience, marking a major milestone in the rapid mainstreaming of prediction platforms across professional sports and media.
Revolutionizing the fan experience at the Garden
The collaboration extends to MSG Networks, where Polymarket becomes the presenting partner of “In-Game Polls” and hosts a dedicated post-game segment. External signage at the Garden will also reach millions of daily passersby.
“This is a landmark partnership for the Rangers in this new and exciting category,” said MSG Sports COO Jamaal Lesane. Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan added that the move “introduces a new, dynamic layer of engagement” for one of hockey’s most dedicated fanbases.
The multi-league expansion of prediction data
Beyond the Rangers deal, several other recent collaborations have signaled a shift in how US-based organizations view prediction market operators:
Major League Soccer (MLS)
On Jan. 26, 2026, Soccer United Marketing and MLS signed a multiyear exclusive deal with Polymarket. The partnership covers the MLS All-Star Game and MLS Cup, focusing on “collective sentiment” data and second-screen digital experiences.
NHL, Kalshi and Polymarket
On Oct. 22, 2025, the NHL entered the prediction market space by partnering with Kalshi and Polymarket. Kalshi was granted official NHL data, intellectual property rights and league marks, enabling officially branded NHL prediction contracts. Polymarket received parallel recognition with similar brand integration opportunities. These were the first official contracts between a major North American sports league and prediction market operators.
Chicago Blackhawks and Kalshi
The Blackhawks hit a new milestone Dec. 23, 2025, by signing with the Kalshi prediction market exchange. The deal includes joint branding, in-arena signage at United Center and broadcast promotion.
Dow Jones and Polymarket
On Jan. 7, 2026, Dow Jones and Polymarket announced an exclusive media-data distribution partnership. Real-time Polymarket data is now incorporated into The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and MarketWatch.
CNBC and Kalshi
On Dec. 4, 2025, CNBC and Kalshi entered a multiyear data integration agreement. Kalshi probabilities now appear in CNBC on-screen graphics and newsroom applications as real-time signals of public expectations.
FanDuel and CME Group
The two entities launched a joint platform, FanDuel Predicts, on Nov. 12, 2025. The collaboration merges FanDuel’s sportsbook user base with CME Group’s derivatives infrastructure and risk management systems.
Robinhood and Susquehanna International Group
Robinhood partnered with Susquehanna to build a regulated derivatives and prediction markets exchange. Robinhood is acquiring a controlling stake in MIAX-linked exchange infrastructure to support its standalone platform, expected to launch later in 2026.
AI Integrations:
Polymarket and Kalshi both integrated xAI’s Grok in the summer of 2025. These tools provide traders with AI-based analysis and contextual data interpretation to improve decision-making.
The Bottom Line
A clear trend has emerged through 2025 and early 2026: Prediction markets are legitimizing themselves by collaborating with established entities in media, sports and finance. This period marks an inflection point where these platforms have shifted from niche technology to mainstream data sources for fan engagement and data journalism.
