The animations and sound effects look pretty dated, but this is unsurprising given the game’s age.

Golden Goddess has a somewhat slow pace, which, combined with its medium volatility, means you could go minutes without a decent win. The individual spins are pretty lengthy, as are the winning animations (although you can skip these). A simple turbo spin function would solve this, but there isn’t one. Golden Goddess runs on a standard video slot grid with five reels and three rows containing 40 fixed paylines. The game’s low-paying symbols include card values 10 through Ace, the mid-paying icons are a dove and a horse, and the most rewarding symbols in the game feature are the prince and the princess.

Special symbols are the wild (game logo) and the bonus symbol (rose), the latter appearing only on the second, third, and fourth reels. The wild subs for all symbols bar the bonus. The prince, princess, and wild pay when only two appear in a payline. All other symbols require a three-of-a-kind arrangement. Lining up five wilds will trigger the game’s jackpot, worth 1,000x your bet. This holds true for both the base game and the free spins round.

The Super Stacks feature makes it so that each symbol may appear in stacked form.

To earn the free spins bonus, you must cover the entirety of Reels 2, 3, and 4 with roses. Before the bonus round begins, you will be asked to click one of the rose symbol positions, revealing a dove, a horse, a prince, or a princess. Golden Goddess is an average video slot in all aspects. We cannot be too critical of the game’s lack of interesting sounds and visuals due to its age, although many games from the early 2010s have withstood the test of time (Starburst, for example).

The gameplay is void of any noteworthy features, although the free spins round’s construction leaves you with a solid chance of forming a big win. The game’s RTP varies depending on where you play it, but we couldn’t find a version where the average return is higher than 94.75%, much lower than the industry average.
