LuckyBitsVegas: Is it worth your time?

LuckyBits Casino is a relatively new sweepstakes casino from the creators of High 5 Casino. Whenever I discover a new sweeps site, I run it through a pretty simple test. See, I have a stable of sweeps casinos that I go to every day without fail. I collect the daily bonus and usually play on each one for a few minutes. But with hundreds of sweepstakes casinos out there, I don’t have time to add them all to my list. So when I go to a new site, I am simply trying to figure out if they are worth of inclusion in my daily rotation.

Where did I land with LuckyBitsVegas? My verdict is that it doesn’t warrant a daily visit, at least not yet. I would want to see some of the growing pains worked out within the site first. Plus, I would want to see more of a chance for prize redemptions, with a better playthrough requirement and a better daily bonus.

I should also note here that LuckyBits only supports crypto payments. So if you don’t like cryptocurrency, you definitely should find a different site. But if you do enjoy using crypto, LuckyBitsVegas is one of the few sweeps casinos that offers it, so it’s definitely worth you checking it out.

I will delve more deeply into the site below, explaining what I think is good about LuckyBits and what I would like to see improved. But before that, here are a few of the best sweepstakes casinos that I would recommend instead:

There are several components to the LuckyBits Casino welcome offer, so let me break it all down.

First, let’s start with the no-deposit bonus. Just for creating an account, you will see 20,000GC, 2 SC, and 100 Diamonds in your account. At LuckyBits, GC (Gold Coins) are the non-redeemable currency, and SC (Sweeps Coins) are the currency that you can redeem for crypto prizes once you’ve met the playthrough and have the minimum amount needed. Diamonds are a unique feature available at LuckyBits and sister site High 5 Casino. You can redeem those for boosts on slot games, such as free spins or automatic bonuses.

For your first 30 days on the site, you also get a 6% SpinBack, which is basically LuckyBit’s version of a casino cashback bonus. Depending on how high you climb in the loyalty program, that can jump all the way up to 12%.

Like most social casinos, LuckyBitsVegas also offers a first-purchase bonus. However, LuckyBit’s approach is different than other sweeps sites in two ways: one good, one not-so-good. In terms of the good, I like how the first-purchase discount doesn’t just apply to some packages. For any purchase you make over $5, you will get double the normal GC and SC. You can choose from any of their pre-set bundles, or you can type in your own amount. There is one kicker, however: the matched SC that you get are subject to a 10x playthrough. Most sweeps sites are only 1x, so that’s pretty steep.

Put it all together, and it’s about an average welcome bonus, in my mind. 20,000GC and 2 SC are pretty comparable to what you get at most sites. The 100 Diamonds and the SpinBack are nice add-ons, as is the fact that the first purchase bonus can be applied to any package. However, the 10x playthrough on the deposit match SC and a 3x playthrough on the no-deposit bonus make the promo less appealing than a lot of competitors.

Most sweepstakes casinos make signing up very easy. For the most part, LuckyBits follows this same pattern, though they ask for one extra step. Here is how you create an account and claim the LuckyBits welcome offer:

1. Visit the LuckyBitsVegas website or download the app.
Head to the official LuckyBitsVegas site using a secure browser on desktop or mobile. Or, go to the App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Create your account.
Click the yellow “Sign Up!” button and enter your basic details. You’ll also need to choose a username and password. Finally, tick the box that confirms that you are eligible and hit next. After that, you will get a screen where you enter a bit more information, like email address.

3. Verify your phone number.
After registration, check your phone for a verification code. Enter that to activate your account.

5. Verify your identity (optional).
This is where LuckyBitsVegas has a bit of an extra step…kind of. They ask you to verify your identity before you play any games with your Sweeps Coins. Every single sweepstakes casino I have ever played on has you do this before you redeem cash prizes. Indeed, this is how you know they are legit, as this process is required by law (it’s called KYC—Know Your Customer). About half of the sites I have played on made me verify my identity before I made a purchase. But LuckyBitsVegas is the first site I have ever seen that made me verify before I even played games with my redeemable currency!

My experience using the LuckyBits Casino welcome bonus

I claimed the LuckyBitsVegas no-deposit offer following the steps above, and everything was overall quite easy. Again, there was the extra step of verifying my identity right away, but the whole process was less than 5 minutes.

For my purchase, I went with the standard PlayUSA budget of $20. That got me GC200,000 and SC20.00, which was then doubled. I don’t use cryptocurrency a ton, so that part slowed me down just a bit. But the actual purchase process was quite user-friendly. Since $20 wasn’t one of LuckyBit’s standard currency packages, I appreciated that I could come up with my own amount.

Playing the games

I tested a lot of the games with the bonus. I’ve played a lot of the games before on High 5 Casino, LuckyBitsVegas’ sister site, so I already knew which ones were some of my favorites. Platinum Goddess is an iconic slot on both sites, and I love that you can choose to buy power boosts, so I played on that one for a while. Triple DaVinci Diamonds is another classic that I played for a while. I am a big fan of mythology themes and buffalo games, so I also played ThunderStruck (a Thor-based slot) and Big Bad Buffalo. Finally, I played two variety games: Plinko and Minesweeper. I enjoy variety games because they offer something different than the traditional slot mechanics.

Honestly, I did fine on the games. I was actually a little lucky and ended up with a higher balance than when I started after a few hours. Unfortunately, because of the unfavorable terms and conditions I discuss below, I couldn’t do much but continue to chase my playthrough and get to the minimum redeemable balance. And eventually, doing so withered my SC down to nothing.

Let’s be really clear: I cannot predict whether or not you will win a prize. It’s all luck. So that’s not really what I am evaluating here.

Instead, I am evaluating LuckyBitsVegas Casino on how player-friendly their policies are, particularly their playthrough requirements and minimum redemptions, compared to the competition.

The answer is that they are, to quote the GIF, not great, Bob!

Terms and conditions of bonuses, including playthrough requirements

Before you claim promos at any site, whether it’s a sweeps site or one of the real-money online casinos across the US, it’s always important to check the terms and conditions. This is especially important at LuckyBits because, to be frank, the terms aren’t really very clear.

In many spots on the site, LuckyBits says that “Sweeps Coins must be played at least once to be eligible for redemption as a prize.” So I was surprised to see on the playthrough progress bar on my account indicate that I actually had a 3x playthrough:

I conferred with customer support, and yes, both the LuckyBits promo code offer and the daily login bonuses had a 3x playthrough. But there is no mention of that on the site. Indeed, even in the screenshot above, it indicates only 1x.

Buried in the Terms and Conditions is this line:

Sweeps Coins obtained by any method are not immediately available for redemption of a Prize and must be used at least once in a Sweeps Coins game before they shall be considered eligible toward a Prize redemption request. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, require that any Sweeps Coins allocated to a Participant under any method in Section 6 must be used more than one (1) time in any combination of Sweeps Coins games before they are eligible to be redeemed.

So apparently LuckyBitsVegas has decided to make these ones 3x.

For the first-purchase discount, to their credit, LuckyBitsVegas Casino is much clearer about the playthrough requirement. Unfortunately, it’s 10x on any SC you get as part of the deposit match. Again, that’s quite high.

So for me, after I claimed the LuckyBits no-deposit offer and the first-purchase offer, I needed to win 266 SC before anything could be eligible for redemption.

Here are a few more key points to be aware of:

• Bonus eligibility: You must be at least 21 years old and reside in an eligible state to receive the LuckyBits Casino sign-up bonus. It is also available for new players only.
• Promo code not required: No code is needed to claim either the no-purchase or first purchase deal. Simply sign up and follow the prompts.
• Prize eligibility: Only Sweeps Coins (not Gold Coins) can be used to play games for the chance to win real prize redemptions.
• Account verification: You must verify your identity and residency before you can redeem any prizes earned through Sweeps Coins.
• Daily login rewards: Login bonuses may vary and are subject to change at Gummyplay’s discretion. Users must log in each calendar day to receive the daily bonus.

Redemption minimums

LuckyBits requires you to have 95 redeemable SC in your account before you can redeem any crypto prizes. A lot of competitors offer cash prize or crypto redemptions for 50SC or 75SC.  There are some that require 100SC, but those sites also allow you to redeem gift cards for far less. For example, as we note in our Chumba Casino review, that sweeps site is a 100SC minimum for cash prizes. But it offers gift cards for as low as 10SC.

LuckyBitsVegas wants to deal in crypto only, so it doesn’t offer gift cards. Totally understandable. But Stake Crypto Casino, the most direct competitor LuckyBits has, offers crypto redemptions for as low as 40SC (and they institute a 3x playthrough across the board.)

Put the minimum redemptions and the playthrough requirements together, and it’s fair to say that LuckyBits is not as player-friendly as competitors.

Website and app experience | 4.1/5

As I’ve said, LuckyBitsVegas is a fairly new site. As a result, it has some growing pains to go through, as most sites do. But overall, its website and app experience are solid.

Let’s start with the positives.  First, I am a big fan of the sleek design and the color scheme. Obviously, everyone has their own preferences, but I far prefer a classic black background with colors that pop over the very busy interfaces of, say, DingDingDing or Hello Millions.

Another positive is that the main things you need to find are easy to find. The buy button and the help button are clearly marked, as are your GC and SC balance. The little gift box that bobs up and down when you have a new bonus to collect is a nice touch. Another nice touch is that you can search by game (something that every sweeps casino should have, but many still don’t—get with the times, sweeps sites!!!!) And when you use the search bar, you don’t have to know the exact title, like you do at most sites. If you type a word that’s related to the slot, it should pop up in your list. So it’s a more advanced search feature than most sites, even real-money sites.

Finally, everything runs very smoothly on the LuckyBits site. I experience no loading issues or lagging while I was playing, as long as I was on a decent connection.

So where could LuckyBitsVegas improve its user experience? One, there are some pages that are hard to find on the site. For example, LuckyBits has pages devoted to free spins, the loyalty program, and more. But I only discovered those because customer support sent me the links or after I went down a web of internal linking. To be fair, the site has a Help Center page set up and just hasn’t put any articles in it yet. So hopefully these resources will be easier to find soon.

I also hope that LuckyBits put in more game filters soon. The ones they currently have are decent (High Roller, Trending, Exclusives, and ones that contain the Power Boosts). However, it would be nice to be able to filter by theme or feature (like Bonus Buy games) as well.  Also, I found 3 variety games in the LuckyBitsVegas library (the aforementioned Plinko and Minesweeper, along with Crash Dice). But the filters are only for slots.

The last growing pain is just that I found some typos on the site (such as “immidiate” instead of “immediate.”) It’s not that uncommon for a newer site to have that, and it doesn’t really hurt anything. It’s just a bad look.

What Gold Coin (GC) payment methods does LuckyBitsVegas accept?

LuckyBits is purely crypto casino. This isn’t necessarily a good thing or a bad thing; it’s just a preference thing. So, it doesn’t factor into my rankings at all.

If you are an experienced cryptocurrency user, you will find a nice variety of choices at LuckyBits Casino. The site is a Bitcoin casino, but you can also use Tether, Coin, Ethereum, Solana, and Tron.

I am not a super experienced crypto user, but once I created my crypto wallet (I used Ethereum) and understood the basics, the actual coin buying process was smooth and fast. That said, some TrustPilot reviews have mentioned having a lot of issues with purchases and redemptions.

Did I like the LuckyBits app?

First off, I appreciated that LuckyBits Vegas HAS a sweepstakes casino app, and it’s available for both iOS and Android. Unfortunately many sites skip this valuable step and are just mobile browser casinos.

I have an Android device (and proud of it!) so that’s the app I used. I found the experience the same as when I used my desktop and mobile browsers. I experienced no lagging at all. Just visually, a few things were compressed in the app differently than on my desktop browser.

So bottom line: yes, I liked the app a lot.

LuckyBits sweeps casino offers over 300 games. That’s slightly below average for a social casino, but it’s definitely not bad, especially for a newer site. And really, you will find any theme you want on the site, as well as most of the popula

And, the games that are offered are high-quality games. Over 75% come from High 5 Games, which is a highly-respected developer, with the remaining coming form other quality studios, such as BGaming. There are a lot of classics, a lot of exclusives, and a lot of jackpot slots. Plus, many games feature Power Boosts, where you can pay extra for a feature that increases your chances of a big win (like a reel full of wilds, for example). There are also some Bonus Buy games available, but you have to hunt around for them; they aren’t prominently advertised.

LuckyBits Casino boasts that the majority of its games have a 96% RTP or above. That is slightly above average, so I’m a big fan of that.

One final aspect I noticed about LuckyBits’ slots collection is that most of them have minimum bets that start at 0.25SC or 0.40SC. I’m more of a low roller, and I prefer bets more about the 0.05SC, 0.10SC, or 0.20SC. I had a hard time finding those at LuckyBitsVegas.

What’s missing from the LuckyBits Social Casino library?

What’s missing right now from LuckyBitsVegas? Basically, any kind of game that’s not a slot. As I mentioned, I did find three variety games (or arcade games, if you prefer that term) within the collection, but that’s it. No table games, such as online blackjack, roulette, or craps. No fishing games or scratchers. No live dealer games or crash games.

Again, LuckyBitsVegas is fairly new. I would expect them to add more game types soon. And the games they currently have are quite fun.

Customer support is yet another area where I would expect LuckyBitsVegas to grow over the next few months. But in its current form? I have been underwhelmed.

At present, LuckyBits has three forms of support available: live chat, email, and social media. I will admit that I didn’t try social media. But the other two methods were not that smooth for me.

First, I used the chat to ask about the playthrough requirements.  Right away, I was connected with an AI chatbot. What I like about the AI chatbot is that the answers are instant. So if it understands your question and assists you, it’s great, as I found out with later questions. However, it often misunderstands your question or gives you a tangential answer. At the very least, it has a hard time picking up on human nuance.  Here was our conversation:

(You may also notice that you put your question in when you first click for help. But then the chatbot asks you to repeat it, which is an odd UX.)

At that point, I asked to be connected to a human agent (this option isn’t available until you have registered your dissatisfaction with the bot). The person I was connected with, Jonas R., was polite and ultimately confirmed that it was a 3x playthrough. However, when I copied and pasted something from the T&Cs on the site, he was not aware that the phrasing existed on LuckyBits; I had to paste the URL into the chat for him to find it.

Again, there were many times where I asked a simple question (e.g. how many games are currently available?) and would get an AInstant AInswer. But for more complex queries, it struggled. And to be frank, the humans sometimes did too.

As another example, I asked what the playthrough was on purchased SC. The chatbot asked me for the transaction ID, thinking I had made a purchase.  After a few unsuccessful attempts to convey my question, I got this screen, showing that I would be connected to a human agent in about 5 minutes:

I let that sit for 45 minutes before exiting.

About an hour later, I received an email from the customer support team. They saw my question was unanswered and wanted to resolve it. I give them props for that and for the quick response. But the response itself missed the mark:

In sum, LuckyBits has a promising system in place. But the execution isn’t quite there yet.

Pros & cons of playing at LuckyBitsVegas Casino

I cannot think of any sweepstakes casino I have ever played on that doesn’t have things I enjoy about it and some things I wish were different.
