Which sportsbooks are coming to Missouri?

On October 22, 2025, the MGC announced which sportsbooks have been approved to launch as soon as sports betting goes live on December 1. Below, we lay out the complete list.

Plus, at this point, players are allowed to register for online sportsbooks in Missouri. As such, the early-bird sign-up bonuses are here. These offers tend to have the best value for new players. We have all of those pre-launch offers in the table as well.

For context, 14 online sportsbooks could go live in Missouri. 12 would be linked to in-state casinos or sports franchises, and two will be “untethered,” meaning not linked to a casino. On Aug. 25, 2025, DraftKings and Circa were awarded the untethered licenses. With only 10 currently taking licenses, there is still room for the market to grow. For example, neither the St. Louis Blues nor Kansas City Chiefs have a partnership for this first wave.

In terms of retail sportsbooks, reports indicate that BetMGM, ESPN Bet, Caesars, and Fanatics are planing to launch around the state, though the exact date by which they will be ready is not clear yet.

Will you be able to bet on college sports in Missouri?

Amendment 2 makes it ultra clear that Missouri sportsbooks can accept bets on college sports. That includes the ability to bet on the outcomes for games featuring in-state teams. However, player props for games featuring in-state teams will not be allowed.

Are there any other options available right now in Missouri?

Right now, you can enjoy Daily Fantasy Sports at platforms like DraftKings DFS, PrizePicks, or OwnersBox. These platforms let you participate in PvP contests for real money prizes.

Social sportsbooks are also allowed. These sites—Fliff, Thrillzz, and others—let you play with virtual currency. One of those currencies will give you a chance at real cash prizes, too.

You may find sites in Missouri claiming to offer real sports betting before December 1st. Steer clear of these sites, as they operate illegally and put your data and money at risk.

Missouri sportsbook welcome bonus types, explained

If you are new to the world of online sportsbooks, some of the terminology being thrown around on this page about the Missouri online sportsbook promos might be confusing. So here are the most common types of bonuses you will find at sportsbooks (for both new and existing users), along with a quick explanation of what those entail.

How to choose the best Missouri sportsbook for you

Sportsbooks are multifaceted experiences that cover so much more than just betting. When you choose one, you should take the whole kit and kaboodle into consideration, including some of these aspects I look for:

  • App and desktop experience: A sportsbook should be simple and easy to use. Even as a novice bettor, you should be able to find a game or team and quickly place your bet.
  • Bonuses and promos: Welcome bonuses are obviously important, but what about ongoing promotions? Odds boosts, reload bonuses, parlay insurance, and other bonuses are crucial to a fun and enjoyable sportsbook experience.
  • Market variety and depth: Every sportsbook worth your time will have the big ones: NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA. But they should also offer lesser-known or niche sports and globally popular ones like soccer and cricket.
  • Odds: Sportsbooks compete with each other to have the best odds on any given bet. This means no single sportsbook always has the best odds. Look for sportsbooks that can give you a slight edge from time to time. Or do what I do: sign up for several, collect the welcome bonuses, and then find the book that has the best odds for the particular bet you are hoping to make.
  • Payment and withdrawal options: In this case, more is more! I like to see tons of options for funding and cashing out, from Venmo to PayPal to online banking to credit/debit cards.
  • Customer service: Quick, kind, and effective. If customer service at a sportsbook can hit those three marks, I’m happy to recommend it. Further, I like to see multiple available channels, such as live chat, email, and phone.
  • Security: A sportsbook should take measures to protect bettors. Thankfully, all the major operators have many different systems in place for this, including multi-factor authentication and encryption.

My top 5 online sportsbooks coming to Missouri, ranked

So given these factors, which MO online sportsbook is the best?  Well, obviously, they haven’t launched yet, so I can’t compare the Missouri experience across all operators yet.

However, I have played on each of these mobile sportsbooks in Illinois (where I live) and in neighboring states (Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan). I can say that the experience really doesn’t change across states. Therefore, I feel confident that I can rank which ones I recommend you download in Missouri.

Here are the best online sportsbooks in Missouri, ranked in order:

Caesars Sportsbook Missouri

Caesars CasinoCaesars Sportsbook is a top-tier betting platform with a polished, easy-to-navigate interface. I love Caesars for its extensive market depth and the popular Caesars Rewards loyalty program. The sportsbook delivers a premium betting experience to everyone, from casual bettors to seasoned fans.

Best features

One standout feature is its Caesars Rewards integration. Bettors earn reward credits with wagers, which can be redeemed for casino perks or bonus bets for use online or at Caesars properties around the world. Caesars also makes building bets simple. The Prop Views tool streamlines same-game parlays by letting you quickly pick from related props in a game and add them to your bet slip. The sportsbook offers daily odds boosts on big matchups and even free live streaming of many events (including some NFL games) right in the app. Another neat touch is personalized suggestions. Caesars can analyze your past bets and recommend markets or pre-built parlays for your favorite teams, helping new bettors discover wagers.

Pros:

  • The Caesars Rewards program is simply one of the best in the business.
  • Live Streaming gets you in the game as you place your bets.
  • The customer support is excellent, with various channels to reach out to (including a responsive live chat).
  • Same-game parlays are available via an excellent bet builder tool.

Cons:

  • Ongoing promotions can be sparse beyond the initial welcome offer.
  • The website layout is cluttered compared to the streamlined mobile app.

BetMGM Sportsbook Missouri

BetMGM Sportsbook is a major national betting platform backed by MGM Resorts that is coming to Missouri. BetMGM is well-known for its vast menu of sports and bets and a touch of Vegas flair. The platform offers a feature-rich experience; Missouri bettors can expect a trusted name with everything from mainstream leagues to niche sports on tap, all tied together with the polished MGM hospitality feel.

Best features

BetMGM packs in some unique tools for bettors. One highlight is the “Edit My Bet” feature, which gives you flexibility to adjust an active wager – you can change or add legs to a bet that’s already placed, something most books don’t allow. It’s also great for parlay lovers: BetMGM provides an easy parlay builder and even offers pre-built parlays for quick picks on big games. Live betting is well supported too, with live streaming for many sports (from hockey to tennis), so you can watch and bet in one place. Every wager earns points in MGM Rewards, BetMGM’s integrated loyalty program, which can earn you bonus bets or perks at MGM casinos and resorts.

Pros:

  • Massive selection of sports, leagues, and bets, including niche options.
  • The Edit My Bet feature lets you change bets before they settle.
  • Live streaming is available for many games and sports.
  • Frequent odds boosts can help you maximize any potential winnings.
  • MGM Rewards is an excellent program, allowing you to earn perks while playing at BetMGM.

Cons:

  • BetMGM has good odds, but it isn’t known for being the most competitive on its lines.
  • Some bettors report occasional bugs while using the Android app.

FanDuel Sportsbook Missouri

FanDuel shield logo

FanDuel Sportsbook is one of the most popular sports betting apps in the U.S., celebrated for its beginner-friendly design and trailblazing features. When it comes to Missouri, FanDuel will bring along its slick, intuitive interface and reputation for quick payouts. As a brand that started in daily fantasy sports, FanDuel brings a fun, social feel to sports betting that many new bettors find welcoming.

Best features

FanDuel stands out for its simplicity and innovation. It actually pioneered the Same-Game Parlay concept, which lets you combine multiple picks from one game on one ticket. The feature was so popular that nearly every other operator copied it in some way. The FanDuel app is extremely intuitive and fast, making live betting easy with real-time updates and lightning-quick odds changes. New bettors will appreciate resources like FanDuel’s “Bet 101” guide, which teaches the basics, and the free-to-play contests the platform offers. For example, FanDuel runs daily free games where you can make predictions to win prizes without risking any money. FanDuel also regularly provides odds boosts on big events. You’ll often see special boosted odds for major NFL, NBA, or college games, adding extra value to your bets.

Pros:

  • FanDuel’s app is widely regarded as one of the best in the sports betting industry.
  • Tons of coverage for major sports (football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer) and more niche sports around the globe.
  • Same-Game Parlay and Same-Game Parlay+ started at FanDuel, and they remain amazing on the platform.
  • Fast payouts can be processed in under a day in most circumstances.

Cons:

  • No major loyalty or rewards programs for sports bettors.
  • Odds boosts for niche sports outside of the majors can be sparse.

Fanatics Sportsbook Missouri

The well-known sports merchandise brand Fanatics backs Fanatics Sportsbook. It’s coming to Missouri, and it’s expected on day one. Fanatics runs a mobile-app-only sportsbook that blends competitive odds with unique perks like a loyalty program tied to sports gear. This fresh concept sets it apart from more established books.

Best features

Fanatics brings some novel features for bettors. A big one is the FanCash rewards program. Every wager earns you FanCash (loyalty points) that you can redeem for bonus bets or even team merchandise on the Fanatics site. It’s a great way to get rewarded for your fandom. The Fanatics app also has a handy “Discover” page that acts as a personalized hub: it curates a feed of suggested bets tailored to you, highlighting marquee games (especially involving your favorite teams) and showing trending bets that others are placing. It even provides snapshots of key stats for those games, helping you make informed picks rather than just guessing. Fanatics is also parlay-friendly. The app showcases popular pre-packaged parlays for big events and makes it easy to build your own, including same-game parlays, with a user-friendly interface.

Pros:

  • Earning FanCash as you play is a great way to connect with your favorite teams beyond just betting on them.
  • Odds boosts are offered on a daily basis at Fanatics Sportsbook.
  • Payouts tend to pay out quickly, often within 24 hours for recurring customers.

Cons:

  • Fanatics is a mobile-only sportsbook. You can’t bet via desktop.
  • The sportsbook lacks some of the depth of more established competitors, especially with regard to less popular or niche sports.

DraftKings Sportsbook Missouri

DraftKings Casino LogoDraftKings is a huge name in online betting. The sportsbook is known for its feature-packed platform and deep sports coverage. When it launches in Missouri, DraftKings will undoubtedly become a go-to book thanks to its huge variety of markets and constant innovation. DraftKings offers a seamless experience for sports fans with its blend of competitive odds, betting tools, and social features.

Best features

DraftKings is loaded with advanced features. Notably, it offers a unique social component to betting – once your account is verified, you can actually follow friends and share bet slips, or even “tail” your friends’ bets (i.e., copy them) for a more interactive experience. DraftKings also stands out for live streaming coverage. Few sportsbooks can match the range of live streams it provides (you can even watch some NFL games live in the app), which pairs perfectly with its in-game betting and quick cash-out options. For parlay enthusiasts, DraftKings delivers as well: you’ll find lots of pre-built parlays for big events (e.g. special “Monday Night” combo bets) and a powerful same-game parlay tool. DraftKings allows SGP “x” parlays that combine multiple games’ props into one bet, giving creative bettors tons of options. To top it off, DraftKings has a robust loyalty system called Dynasty Rewards – every wager earns you Crowns that can be redeemed for free bets, merchandise, or other perks, and this program ties in with DraftKings’ fantasy sports platform for added flexibility.

Pros:

  • DraftKings has incredible coverage of dozens of leagues, sports, and events.
  • Various free-to-play contests are available even when you’re not betting.
  • The mobile app is highly rated and very functional, with fast load times and quick payouts.
  • Dynasty Rewards can earn you extra perks in the long run.

 Cons:

  • DraftKings isn’t usually as generous with ongoing promotions as other sportsbooks are.

How to sign up and bet in Missouri

New to sports betting and want to know how to sign up for an account? I’ve got you covered. The steps below may vary in order and exact language used, but the general idea remains the same at every sportsbook coming to Missouri. Follow these steps to sign up.

  1. Head to your chosen sportsbook(s).
  2. Click “Sign up,” “Register,” “Join Now,” or similar.
  3. Enter a promo code for the welcome bonus, if applicable (this step may appear later in the process).
  4. Provide your personal details: name, email, phone number, date of birth, address, etc.
  5. Share your photo ID, selfie, and part of your SSN (the sportsbooks need this because they are required by law to confirm your age and identity).
  6. Check any necessary boxes to agree to the terms, conditions, and privacy policy.
  7. If required, confirm your email or phone number with a link/code sent to you.
  8. Make a deposit and start betting!

You may also want to check the “Promotions” page to see whether your welcome bonus requires opt-in.

If you run into any roadblocks during sign-up, get in touch with customer support.

Types of bets available

Dozens of bet types will be available at Missouri sportsbooks. Here are some of the key bet types to know. If you want more information about them, you can find betting guides at most sportsbook sites. We also have plenty of resources for you right here at PlayUSA.

  • Moneyline: Pick a team to win and get paid if they bring home a victory. The favored team will pay less than the underdog.
  • Point spread: These bets give phantom points to the underdog and a handicap to the favorite. The underdog needs to either win or lose by a small margin. The favorite must win by more than the point spread. For example, Chiefs -7.5, Eagles +7.5 means the Chiefs are favored and have to win by 8 or more points to cover the spread.
  • Totals (Over/Under): Bet on the over or the under based on how you think both teams will score in total. For example, if the line is set at 45.5, betting the over means you think the teams will score 46 or more points combined.
  • Prop bets: These are wagers on specific outcomes. For example, back in the glory days, you might have seen odds on Albert Pujols to get more than 1.5 hits or more than 3.5 total bases in a game.
  • Futures: Futures are bets on long-term outcomes, such as a team to win the Stanley Cup or to make the playoffs. They’re high-risk, high-reward bets, especially early in the season.
  • Parlays: Parlays combine multiple smaller bets into a single big ticket wager. Every individual part of the parlay (called legs) must hit for the bet to win. Otherwise, the whole thing is a bust.

How to read American odds

Odds can look intimidating at first. However, once you have a grasp of the basics, you’ll be reading them like a pro in no time.

First, it helps to understand that odds come with a “+” or “-” in front of them. The minus symbol indicates that the associated bet is more likely to happen than its counterpart “+” bet, if applicable. A minus sign indicates a favorite while the plus sign is for an underdog. Let’s take a look at this moneyline example I just made up, but which feels all too real for a Bears fan:

  • Kansas City Chiefs: -500
  • Chicago Bears: +680

These odds are very disparate. The -500 on the Chiefs means you’d need to bet $500 to win $100 ($600 total, when you account for your returned wager). Meanwhile, a $100 bet on the Bears at odds of +680 would pay $780 ($100 back plus $680 in profit) if the Bears won.

That’s the easiest way to remember it. Negative odds show you how much you’d need to bet to win $100. Positive odds show you how much a $100 bet would win you.

The vig

“Vig” is short for “vigorish,” which I’m certain does little to assuage your confusion if you’ve never heard the term. It means a sportsbook’s commission. Vig is baked into odds, so you don’t need to do any highfalutin calculations. Instead, it helps to understand it in principle.

Point spread odds are often -110 on each side (or close to it). A real 50/50 bet with no vig would have odds of +100, giving you an even payout. The vig is the sportsbook’s way of making a little money no matter which side wins.

Popular Missouri teams to bet on

Missourians will have access to bets on all of the state’s major sports teams. That means the Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Blues, and Mizzou Tigers will all be featured. It’s safe to assume you’ll get plenty of localized promotions and odds boosts for bets on these teams when their sports are in season, too.

Also, look out for the Kansas City Current (NWSL), Kansas City Mavericks (ECHL), St. Louis City SC (MLS), and other Missouri teams, though unfortunately, some sportsbooks won’t cover all of these teams as thoroughly.

And, of course, you can find bets on any other team in professional or college sports. Just because the team is from a different state doesn’t mean it’ll be left out of the MO sports betting fun!

Retail vs. online sportsbooks in Missouri

Missouri’s Amendment 2 allows for both online and retail sports betting. Retail books need to be within a casino or within a block of a professional sports stadium. Many of the state’s casinos are owned by companies that also have a sports betting arm, so you can expect a handful of in-person sportsbooks to pop up in the state. Indeed, several operators (Caesars, Fanatics, ESPNBet, and BetMGM) have already announced plans for retail sportsbooks.

Many of the differences are fairly obvious, but it’s worth noting them for players who may not be familiar with both avenues of sports betting.

Mobile sportsbooks have the advantage of convenience. As long as you’re within Missouri, 21 or older, and have access to a wifi or cell signal, you can place a bet anywhere in the state once sportsbooks launch. This is ideal for moment-to-moment betting at the bar with friends or anywhere else you might be while out and about. You also get more access to promotions when betting online.

Retail sports betting requires travel to a physical location, but many bettors love the atmosphere. In-person sportsbooks are decked out with big-screen TVs and packed with fellow fans. There’s a unique buzz to watching a game with a bunch of invested fans, especially if you can’t be at the game in person. The downside? You can’t place bets in as timely a manner as you can on mobile. You may have to wait in line for a kiosk to become available or for the cashier to be ready.

DraftKings Sportsbook added a retail location in Colorado

The real winning choice? Play at both if you like both vibes. That’s the glory of having both options.

Responsible gambling in Missouri

Missouri sportsbooks will have plenty of built-in tools for responsible play. These will include session limits, deposit limits, reminders to take breaks, and much more. We highly recommend using them to keep things enjoyable.

There are also external resources available for education and intervention if you think you need help with a gambling problem. The National Council on Problem Gambling has a hotline and live chat or text options. KindBridge has free services connecting gamblers to licensed professionals. Then there are localized groups like Gamblers Anonymous to provide ongoing support.

If you think you need help, don’t be afraid to ask for it.

This depends on the method you choose. Most methods will get your withdrawal to your account within a day or so. Some can be faster (under 24 hours), and others may take longer.

Yes, but only if you’re in a state that has also legalized and launched sports betting. For example, Missourians who commute across the border to Illinois will still have access to sports betting.

Yes. Any gambling winnings count as taxable income. If you win enough, a sportsbook may send you a specific tax form to file. If your wins are modest, you will need to report them on your own. That said, I am an expert on online gambling, not taxes. So you definitely want to consult with a tax professional for more information.

Yes! It’s now been confirmed by the Missouri Gaming Commission that DraftKings has received a license to operate in Missouri as of Dec. 1.

DraftKings won one of the hotly contested untethered licenses in Missouri, meaning it’s not linked to an in-state casino or sports team. Circa Sports nabbed the other of these licenses, so they’re confirmed for a Dec. 1 launch as well.

In order for an online sports betting operator to receive a license in Missouri, it must have plenty of resources to keep your gambling responsible. Plus, part of the 10% tax on sportsbook operators will help fund the Compulsive Gambling Prevention Fund across the state.

Yes. FanDuel Sportsbook has been granted a license in Missouri as part of a partnership with the St. Louis FC of MLS. Bettors in MO who sign up right now for FanDuel Sportsbook will get up to $500 in bonus bets after launch day on December 1.
