Victor Adams is an iGaming content writer who has been in the industry since 2020. He began his professional journey writing casino and sportsbook content for a Canadian marketing agency and has since worked at other leading agencies in the United Kingdom and Malta. Across his career, Victor has written over 800 pieces covering crypto gambling, online casino reviews, slots, and sports betting content. Although his experience positions him as a jack of all trades, Victor is passionate about online slots, with much of his spare time spent reading slot reviews and testing the latest games.
Victor has worked as a freelancer throughout his iGaming career, with extensive writing experience covering online casinos, slots, sweepstakes gaming, crypto gambling, and sportsbooks.
Much of Victor’s iGaming career has been spent in agency settings, from his early days learning the ropes at Canada-based AlphaWordSmiths to his most recent role at Malta-based Content Lab. As an integral part of content teams across these agencies, Victor has written for well-known affiliate websites, such as VegasSlotsOnline, AskGamblers, and Casinos.com.
Before his career as an iGaming writer, Victor fell in love with writing through romance fiction, and he perfected his craft through short stories and flash fiction contests. As part of his achievements in those early days, he had several pieces published across some of Africa’s leading online publications, such as Brittle Paper.
When he’s not testing the latest online slots with a mix of childlike curiosity and strategic focus, Victor spends his spare time reading, directing music, or playing the trumpet. On some days, he returns to his first love—writing romance fiction in a bid to find out if he has lost his touch.
Victor’s iGaming career began in 2020, when he landed a freelance role with Canadian agency AlphaWordSmiths Digital Marketing.
There, he learned much about the iGaming industry while writing casino and sportsbook content. Six years have gone by since then, and he has blossomed into a gambling expert, writing more than 800 pieces for other notable content agencies.
While he has written about a wide range of iGaming topics, from gambling platforms to casino games, slots are by far his favorites. He fondly refers to them as the “closest thing to video games in the iGaming world, except more chaotic and unpredictable.” He’s a big fan of several slot studios, including Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, BetSoft, Red Tiger, and Shady Lady.

I spend much of my free time following up on the latest updates across websites like iGamingToday and Bigwinboard. Then, there’s LinkedIn. More than half of my connections are iGaming professionals, and there’s always something new to learn when I refresh my feed.
A quiet space, a bottle of water, and some snacks to refuel. I also like to open some tabs on my PC to distract myself with some slot spins or a quick glance at LinkedIn when I’m experiencing writer’s block.
I follow the number one rule I believe every gambling writer should abide by: test the platform! No third-party information. Instead, take enough time to test every aspect of a casino or sportsbook. And, when in doubt, reach out to customer support rather than checking elsewhere.
Don’t fall into the trap of seeing casino games as a way to make money. Always play to have fun and enjoy the experience—with discipline, of course, because even entertainment can be addictive. But when you start playing for anything other than fun, such as cashing out massive sums from slots or blackjack, then it’s time to take a step back.
