Bonus and jackpots for Da Vinci Extreme slot (Rating of 3.5/5)

Da Vinci Extreme has the same bonus features as Da Vinci Diamonds but with a few extra tweaks.

Wilds

Wild symbols only appear on reels two, three, and four during the base game.

Tumbling reels

Winning symbols in a pay-line are removed from the reel set and replaced with the symbols directly above them to make new combinations that can also tumble for a type of free respin.

Bonus scatter symbols only appear on reels one, two, and three during the base game and award six free spins when three scatters land on any position.

During free spins, bonus scatters can appear on all five reels, and three or more retrigger additional free spins at the following rates:

• Three bonus symbols: two to four
• Four bonus symbols: four to 10
• Five bonus symbols: six to 15

You can have a maximum of 300 free spins in a single bonus round.

Free spins

The free spins bonus round uses alternate reels, with the portraits paying out as scatters rather than pay-lines.

Five Da Vinci diamonds pay 10,000 coins, so a full screen of Da Vinci diamonds and wilds would pay 10,000x your total bet.

If you’re a fan of Da Vinci Diamonds, the bonuses on this version haven’t changed significantly.

Da Vinci Extreme slot graphics and visuals (Rating of 3.5/5)

The graphics of Da Vinci Extreme are similar to Da Vinci Diamonds, but with a few subtle and some more obvious differences. The background is the Italian night sky rather than just plain black. The reel-set frame has been updated with more elaborate and modern-looking graphics, but the gems, wild, and bonus scatters look very similar to the original game. One difference that stands out is that the famous paintings of “Mona Lisa,” “Portrait of a Musician,” and “Lady with an Ermine” are larger and outside their frames, which makes them easier to see on smaller devices. Overall, the differences are minor but enough to identify this version as an upgrade, albeit not a big one.

Da Vinci Extreme slot gameplay (Rating of 3.5/5)

Da Vinci Extreme has pretty basic game mechanics now that tumbling reels have become more popular. Da Vinci Diamonds was the first of all online slot games to have the feature, so it’s not groundbreaking to include it in this version. The main difference between the two games is that this slot uses the same portraits as scatters during the free spins, and the original had different paintings. It’s unfortunate that the developers didn’t take the time to add more features to take the game to another level.

Overall rating for Da Vinci Extreme by High 5 Games (Rating of 3.5/5)

Da Vinci Extreme combines the exciting gameplay that comes with tumbling reels and portrait scatters with a highbrow appreciation for Renaissance art. While Da Vinci Extreme is somewhat of an upgrade, it’s close enough to the original that fans of Da Vinci Diamonds will love this game. It’s too bad the developers didn’t take the opportunity to add new bonus features or revamp the graphics in a more dramatic way, but it looks like they wanted to stick with a tried and true formula. Regardless, you should give Da Vinci Extreme a try and compare it to Da Vinci Diamonds for yourself. Weighing the pros and cons, we give Da Vinci Extreme a rating of 3.5/5.
