My verdict on McLuck Casino

After spending several days testing McLuck Casino, I’m ready to call it a top-tier social gaming site. McLuck hosts 1,000+ slots, live dealer games, and Slingo games. The site stands out due to its Irish theme, benefit-rich loyalty program, and numerous ways to collect free coins.

While McLuck looks like a traditional online casino, you don’t play the games for real money. As with all social casinos, you can play for fun at McLuck with Gold Coins, or you can use McLuck’s Sweepstakes Coins, which are redeemable for cash prizes and gift cards. To get both coin types for free, I recommend inputting the McLuck promo code PLAYBONUS when you join. This code entitles you to the full McLuck no-deposit bonus: 7,500 Gold Coins and 2.5 free Sweepstakes Coins.

In my review of McLuck Casino, I evaluate its bonuses, games, and customer support. You’ll see why it’s one of the best social casinos on the market.

What are other players saying about McLuck Casino?

Before I begin my review, I want to provide evidence that I’m not alone in my high opinion of McLuck.

I’ve scanned user reviews from Google Play, the Apple App Store, and Trustpilot. When the average rating from all three sites exceeds 4.0, you know you have a good product on your hands. After all, users in these app stores are hard to please.

The easy-to-navigate platform makes it a great experience for any of us who have trouble with navigating the online application. The bonuses are useful and often give you a head start on winning. McLuck is fair and exchanging the SC for real prizes is realistic for everyone.

My real experience using McLuck Casino

When I reviewed McLuck, I had certain factors in mind. I tested the site for the quality of its bonuses, games, ongoing promotions, and more.

I created this rubric (which I used to review all sweepstakes casinos) to show you how McLuck scores in six key areas. The rest of this review will break down my specific reasons behind the ratings.

Website and app experience | 5 / 5

McLuck Apple Casino AppMcLuck strikes the perfect balance of keeping the user oriented and letting them discover new features.

Want to check your balance of Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins? They’re always in the top right. Want to know how quickly you’re accumulating points toward the next loyalty tier? It’s right under those coin balances.

Curious about what’s new at the site? Promotions skim across the top of the screen in well-designed banners.

Even McLuck’s pop-ups are better than the average social casino pop-ups because they’re actually readable from the moment you see them. I clicked one that said “Email Promotion for 50 SC Giveaway” because it was so self-evident what the promotion was. Once I clicked, it told me to check my email and reply with a short personal anecdote. Bam—I was entered. That’s the kind of simplicity you want with a giveaway. And I barely had to leave the site to enter the raffle.

I should also mention that the structure of McLuck’s site and apps are so tried and true that they’re clearly the organizational template for sisters like Hello Millions, Jackpota, and MegaBonanza.

Why else does McLuck get a 5 / 5 for user experience? It has two apps. Meet me in the next section.

Did I like the app?

This is arguably where McLuck shines the most. It’s among the only sweeps casinos with full-fledged, downloadable apps for both Apple and Android devices. (High 5 Casino is the other.) Look for the name McLuck Casino: Jackpot Slots in your app store of choice.

The apps work just like the website—smooth, quick, and clear. Something I really liked about the iOS version of the McLuck app is an extra payment method. It connects so seamlessly to Apple Pay that when you go to make a purchase, all you need to do is double-tap your ‘POWER’ button to approve the purchase using whatever card you store with Apple.

The only shortcoming I could find is that the iOS app will automatically take you to the web browser version of McLuck if you choose to play with Sweeps Coins. The app itself doesn’t support SC play. It’s not such a big deal since you’re just one link away, but McLuck should work to add sweepstakes play to its app, so you can just remain on the single screen.

McLuck Casino sign-up bonus | 4.4 / 5

McLuck isn’t trying to knock anyone’s socks off with its no-deposit bonus, but it is quite competitive.

The 7,500 Gold Coins and 2.5 free Sweeps Coins you get with our McLuck promo code PLAYBONUS are right down the middle for sweeps casino welcome offers.

In fact, 7,500 GC and 2.5 free SC is the exact same offer you’ll find at MegaBonanza and Jackpota Casino. And if you’re looking just at the Sweeps Coins, it’s super close to what you’ll get at Chumba Casino and Pulsz, too.

If you find that these are not enough coins to keep you playing for very long, then it might be time to look at McLuck purchase packages. I’ve posted the options below.

Price# of Gold CoinsSpecial Notes
$1.994,000 GCNo free SC
$4.9910,000 GCNo free SC
$9.9950,000 GC25 free SC (Mega First purchase offer, normally $24.99)

How did I use my McLuck sign-up bonus?

Ordinarily, I’m focused on the Sweeps Coin side of any sign-up bonus. I’m always curious how close you can get to a prize just by playing with that part of the bonus. I took a few spins on a new slot from Novomatic called Silver Fox and didn’t have much luck.

At McLuck, it was actually the Gold Coin portion of the no-deposit bonus that proved more interesting to me. At some social casinos, the number of Gold Coins you receive essentially doesn’t matter because it’s a freeplay currency, and there’s nothing to spin for beyond enjoying the games.

Not so at McLuck! The fact that McLuck’s loyalty program is front and center at all times gives the Gold Coins extra meaning. With every GC spin, I saw I was getting closer to the next loyalty tier (Bronze). I had to complete 500,000 GC spins to get there, which I accomplished after a few days.

I got pretty darn lucky and won 287,000 GC playing McLuck’s exclusive version of Stampede Collect and Connect, which put me well on the way to the next loyalty tier. This is exactly what I want to see from a social casino. Even when it’s with freeplay tokens, give me a reason to spin.

Prize likelihood at McLuck | 4.5 / 5

The most common question I see from new social casino players is “Can I actually get a prize?” Since that’s the question on so many minds, I address it in all my social casino reviews.

First, a disclaimer—I can never tell you whether you’ll win. No one can. Sweeps casino slots are governed by regulated random number generators, just like those at legal real-money casinos. And when you play a live dealer game, you’re literally watching the cards drawn in a studio. No one can tell you whether you’ll win.

But I can tell you whether the social casino puts you in a favorable position to claim a prize. Some social casinos make it easy. Others almost seem like they’d prefer you didn’t win.

Fortunately, McLuck falls in the first category. It only makes you play with your Sweeps Coins one time before they become redeemable. Redemptions start at 10 SC for gift cards and 75 SC for cash prizes.

That gift card minimum is particularly helpful. It’s tied for the most player-friendly policy in the industry, and you can claim a card for any vendor that works with Prizeout. That includes Amazon, DoorDash, Best Buy, and hundreds more.

As for the 75 SC cash prize minimum, that’s harder to meet than the 50 SC minimum you’ll find at Crown Coins Casino and Hello Millions. (You have to win 25 more Sweeps Coins, after all.) But it’s not as high as the 100 SC minimum at Chumba. All in all, McLuck has instituted a competitive cash prize minimum, and SC redeem at a 1:1 rate with USD.

Expert insight icon Expert Insight:

I’ve identified three other factors that impact your ability to claim a prize at McLuck Casino:

  • Daily login bonus starting at 1,500 Gold Coins and 0.2 free Sweeps Coins
  • Sitewide jackpots on dozens of slots
  • Boosts in the loyalty program, including a weekly reward of up to 50 SC once you reach Tier 2 (Bronze)

Did I actually get a cash prize?

Not during my testing. But that was only my experience. I budget $20 and less than an hour to try and claim a prize. That’s standard across my reviews because I’m trying to replicate the experience of the casual player, and I want to treat every social casino the same.

Here’s how the attempt to win a prize went for me. I bought a $9.99 coin package that came with 25 free SC. Considering SC redeem at a 1 to 1 rate with USD, that’s a generous number of SC to come free for a $9.99 package.

Then, I started spinning Immortal Ways Cleopatra and got down to about 15 SC. I bought another $9.99 package that came with 10 free SC. From there, Live Auto Roulette was unfriendly to me. The ball landed on Black 10 out of 12 times. Hey, those days are going to happen.

Auto Roulette at McLuck

What are the takeaways from my attempt to get a cash prize at McLuck?

  • McLuck’s games are fair, and you can win. I experience several smaller wins, and the games are run by the most reputable providers in the industry.
  • I didn’t get anywhere close to the 75 SC minimum for getting a cash prize. But I only had 35 SC at the most. You’ll need uncommon luck to double your SC in 30-60 minutes of play. I think it would have been possible to redeem a cash prize if I had started with 75 free SC.
  • I checked my Redeemable Balance several times while playing, and I could confirm with each spin that my free SC were turning into winnings. That means the 1x playthrough requirement was working as it should.

Benefits for existing users | 4.6 / 5

I’m noticing that the most forward-looking sweeps casinos are currently developing loyalty programs that resemble those at real-money casinos.

McLuck is doing just that. Its loyalty program is one of the best you’ll find at any social casino. It has far greater transparency and more different kinds of rewards than those you’d find at RealPrize Casino or Pulsz, for example. At McLuck, you climb the eight tiers by playing with a certain number of Gold Coins every month, and perks start to rack up, as seen in the table below.

TierWeekly Coin Boost Deal on PurchasesWeekly RewardVIP Club Access?# of GC played required per month

McLuck Casino daily bonusDaunted by some of the required spinning numbers? In my experience, it wasn’t terribly difficult to arrive at the Bronze tier, so you can start to get a sense of whether the purchase boosts are worth it to you.

Obviously, you’ll need to purchase some Gold Coins if you’re going to spin 60 million per month, as the Platinum tier would mandate. But if you’re that devoted of a player, you probably planned to buy some coins anyway.

I’ll add that once you reach the Platinum tier, you also get a welcome reward for joining that echelon. It starts at up to GC 100,000 + Free SC 50.

Beyond the loyalty program, I will point out that McLuck’s daily login bonus is a solid offering. It fluctuates a little throughout the week, but you’re always getting free Sweeps Coins each day.

Will I keep playing?

For sure, and the loyalty program is a big reason why. A few days ago, I took six spins on Elemental Gems Megaways and missed all six. But McLuck wisely showed me exactly how much progress I was making on its loyalty bar—on the path from Iron tier to Bronze. That’s exactly the kind of feature that makes losing spins still feel worth something.

From there, it took me three days of playing 15 minutes a day to get from the Iron tier to Bronze. I now have 80 days to spin another 500,000 GC in a given month to retain this status. I’m still waiting to see what my “Weekly Reward” will be, but I’m now entitled to a 25% weekly coin boost deal for a purchase.

I’m also interested in checking out some of McLuck’s social media promos, which run regularly on Facebook and Instagram. Typically, they’re easy puzzles related to free slots in the McLuck library. You comment on the posts or complete a few low-effort tasks to get in the mix on coin raffles.

McLuck Game Collection | 4.7 / 5

McLuck Casino has one of the best game libraries in the social casino industry—in terms of depth and variety.

Let’s start with the quantity. Hosting more than 1,000 titles, McLuck eclipses the libraries of most average to above-average social casinos. Only Tier 1 sites like WOW Vegas and High 5 Casino have more games. And honestly, once you get past 1,000 titles, do you need another 1,000 to keep you entertained?

That’s where variety comes into play, and McLuck performs well in that respect, too. Check out the table below to see the major game categories McLuck has to offer.

What’s missing from the library

The only real omission I see—and this is getting more common—is classic table games. You know, the basic setup with a virtual felt table and an automated dealer running the show?

I’m seeing social casinos, McLuck included, phase these out in favor of live dealer games. But I know from reading user reviews that some players miss them. Certain people don’t want the stress of a live dealer, or they want to learn the game without feeling watched or slowing other players down. Kudos to sites like JefeBet Casino and Ding Ding Ding for keeping these traditional table games in stock.

McLuck also doesn’t have arcade-style games, but those aren’t widespread enough to fault any operator for not including them. I will note that McLuck’s Crash Live game is a version of an arcade-style game—just moved into a live broadcast format.

Customer Support at McLuck | 4.7 / 5

The customer support options at McLuck Casino are strong on paper, but I’ll note a few complications.

First things first, if you need assistance, you can always send an email or fill out a support ticket. A member of the McLuck team will then respond. They got back to me about 8 hours later when I asked how the weekly bonuses in the loyalty program worked.

Meanwhile, a $1.99 Gold Coin purchase will get you access to live chat customer support. This trend is increasingly common at social casinos, as the operators prioritize paying customers for support. That said, sometimes, the users who need the most help are those who haven’t fully onboarded. A site like Stake.US provides terrific live chat support for every user.

If you reach the Ruby tier of the McLuck Loyalty Club, you will become a VIP sweepstakes casino member. At that point, you will be assigned a VIP host who will provide 24/7 personal customer service. That means you can benefit from instant support, although that option is not available to casual players.

Finally, McLuck lists two phone numbers for 24/7 support with “payment-related questions.” The US number is +1 (424) 842-4264, while the UK/European number is +372 651 0239. In both cases, describing the lines as 24/7 support is a stretch.

When I called the US hotline during business hours a few times, it went right to voicemail. It appears McLuck is using its “24/7 support” to suggest that you can reach out anytime, but they have 48 hours to respond. When I tried the UK number, I was also met with a voice mailbox with the promise of a call back within 48 hours. To speak to an agent in the following days, you will need to leave a voicemail with your McLuck ID, phone number, and email address.

Here’s a more in-depth look at McLuck’s support methods.

💬 Live chat — You can access live chat support anytime by beginning a purchase and then clicking the chat icon in the bottom right.

📱Phone — It’s more like a voicemail box, and you’ll get a callback within 48 hours.

📧 Email — Email support@mcluck.com with questions or concerns.

FAQ — You’ll find standard Zendesk support articles on redemptions and game fairness.

McLuck live chat example

How quickly did I get a response?

Well, that’s an interesting story. I found a workaround for McLuck’s $1.99 paywall for live chat. If you start to purchase a coin package, a chat window will show up in the bottom right of your screen. There, you can pose questions without making a purchase.

I don’t know if that’s a loophole or if McLuck just wants to hide its chat (within reason) so that brand-new players aren’t spamming the chat with complaints about losing after two spins of a slot.

But the support I received was personable and nearly instant. Ultimately, I bump McLuck’s customer support grade up to 4.7 because, well, it actually does have live chat for everyone. You just have to know where to look.

What are the pros and cons of playing at McLuck Casino?

  • Excellent apps for both Android and Apple devices.
  • 8-tier VIP program is sophisticated and benefit-rich.
  • 1,000+ games from top providers like Pragmatic Play and Iconic 21.
  • iOS app doesn't support sweepstakes play.
  • 24/7 phone support is just a voicemail box.
  • Live chat is hidden in the coin purchase window.

How does McLuck compare to other top social casinos?

McLuck has quickly established itself as one of the best sweeps casinos in the business, but the site faces stern competition from famous rivals. I put together this table showing how McLuck compares to its top rivals.

Did I feel safe using McLuck?

Yes, I did. McLuck is absolutely among the most trustworthy operators in the sweeps casino industry. It’s the flagship product from B-Two Operations Limited, the company that runs Hello Millions, Jackpota, and MegaBonanza. That gives me confidence right there.

B-Two has a reputation for operating legally and carefully. All of its products are available to players 18+ and in most US states.

These are the exceptions:

❌ Alabama

❌ Connecticut

❌ Delaware

❌ Georgia

❌ Idaho

❌ Kentucky

❌ Louisiana

❌ Mississippi

❌ Maryland

❌ Michigan

❌ Montana

❌ Nevada

❌ Washington

❌ West Virginia

A few of these states ban all sweeps casinos, but top alternatives like Ding Ding Ding are legally available in Maryland, Georgia, West Virginia, and more.

Finally, as I’ve described throughout my review, McLuck is transparent with its redemption policies. It lets you know slots’ volatilities before you play. It encourages you to verify your account to avoid any prize redemption hiccups. It often goes out of its way not to hide anything.

If you’re still on the fence about McLuck…

✅ Collect the welcome bonus at least, using the McLuck promo code PLAYBONUS.

✅ Take a few Gold Coin spins and see if you’re satisfied with your progress in the loyalty program.

✅ Try one of its 12 live dealer games; McLuck has expanded into that area.

✅ Take the social casino on the go with its highly rated Apple or Android apps.
